Cymbalta (duloxetine) is an efficient prescription drug intended for the treatment of depression and other chronic conditions in patients of different ages. Children younger than 18 are not normally supposed to take this medicine, but if your health care provider thinks it is necessary all he precautions should be taken to make sure the child has no side effects or dangerous symptoms, such as suicidal thoughts and behavior. Before you feel the full benefits of the treatment you may need from 2 to 4 weeks, so keep taking this drug even if you think you are not benefitting from it. If you take Cymbalta regularly for a month and still experience no improvements in your condition, make sure you talk to your health care provider about a dose adjustment, but do not take more of this medicine based on your own perception.
